One of the toughest decisions that an ebook lover may ever have to face is what kind of ereader to purchase. With devices such as the Kindle and the Nook, competition is tough and this makes an ereader purchase even tougher! By reading reviews and and doing research , there is no doubt that the biggest competition is found between Amazon's Kindle and Barnes and Noble's Nook tablet. There are a few advantages that the Kindle has over the Nook tablet. Although both tablets are easy to hold and carry, the kindle is thinner and a slightly less heavier.Amazon offers the $69  Kindle which is cheaper than the cheapest Nook, which costs $99. Kindle's ebooks tend to be cheaper as well and Amazon offers special deals to its prime members. These members receive special discounts, free shipping and may borrow books for free from the lending library.

The Nook has its advantages as well. Although both tablets are touch screen, the Nook contains buttons that allow you to flip from page to page which may be more convenient for some readers. With its illustrative icons and the way the icons may be organized, most people agree that it is easier to navigate through the nook than the kindle and it is a bit faster when it comes to navigation and flipping pages. Additionally, Amazon offers the Nook simple touch with glow light for  readers that cannot stop reading after the lights turn off.

Introducing the Nook:

Having read various websites and reviews, I noticed a pattern. Although these two devices have their own advantages over the other, there were only a few slight differences between them and there are much more similarities than differences.
Both devices allow you to:

• Read/Buy books, magazine and newspaper articles
• Search the web
• Play games
• Play music and videos
• Take notes and highlight important passages

 When shopping for a tablet, the major differences that costumers need to look at are the hardware and content. When it comes to hardware and pricing of tablets, the Nook probably wins but when it comes to content and pricing of ebooks, the Kindle would take first place.
